Campbelltown Sports Stadium

Campbelltown Sports Stadium is a 17,500-capacity rectangular stadium located in the Macarthur area, west of Sydney. The venue received a $22-million redevelopment in 2000 to convert it into a NRL-standard rectangular stadium and is a part-time home ground of the Wests Tigers and home of new A-League club, Macarthur FC.

The history of the venue dates back to the 1950's as Orana Park. In 1985, a new grandstand was opened which attracted the Western Suburbs Magpies club to the ground. By 1987, it was the magpies full-time home and three years later, was re-named Campbelltown Sports Ground. The major redevelopment completed in 2000 included the refurbishment of the Western Grandstand, a new Eastern Grandstand featuring 20 corporate boxes, the reshaping of the playing surface from an oval to a rectangle, and a new playing surface. Additional seating has since been installed while further plans are afoot to convert Campbelltown into an all-seat stadium following confirmation it'll host new A-League expansion side Macarthur FC.

The record crowd for the ground for a rugby league match has been 20,527 between the Wests Tigers and the North Queensland Cowboys on 14 August 2005. The record crowd for Campbelltown in its previous oval configuration was 17,286 between Western Suburbs and St George on 2 August 1991.
