Leederville Oval

Leederville Oval is a sports ground located in suburban Perth. The ground features three grandstands on the wing including a main stand with two smaller ones on either side. There is a large hill around the outer boosting the total capacity to 17,000. The ground has often seen as the centre of Football in the state with the sport played at the ground since 1915.

Three WAFL teams have called this venue in the inner northern suburb of Leederville home, presently East Perth Royals and Subiaco FC and formerly home of the West Perth Falcons. Located next to a train station and the trendy café strip of Leederville, the venue has recently had lights constructed for Friday night games after laying dormant for many years when West Perth left its geographical home to the northern outskirts of Joondalup back in 1994.

Redevelopment work at the ground commenced in early 2003 to transform it into a modern sporting complex. Further works are planned for the future further reducing capacity of the ground, including terracing of the eastern bank, with an indoor facility also to be built on the wide expanses of the present large grass bank. Between 2006 and 2016, Leederville Oval was known as Medibank Stadium due to a commercial naming-rights deal.
