Royal Pines Resort
The RACV Royal Pines Resort on the Gold Coast has hosted professional golf and tennis and is the current home of the Australian PGA Championship. The Resort is located just across the river from Metricon Stadium.
With a 27-hole composite golf course and state-of-the-art driving range, Royal Pines Resort offers the best in world-class golfing. The course is one of the top 60 public courses in Australia. Royal Pines Resort is the new home of the Australian PGA Championship with a five-year deal signed in 2013. RACV will invest $5m to increase the challenge of the course for professional golfers and will work closely with both the PGA and the ALPGA to ensure RACV Royal Pines becomes the "Home of Championship Golf" in Queensland.
The Resort's Tennis facilities previously hosted the Women's Hardcourts Championships (which has since been replaced by the Brisbane International). Temporary grandstands were constructed to the undercover tennis courts to provide seating for 1,300.
