Newcastle Entertainment Centre

The Newcastle Entertainment Centre is a flexible multi-purpose venue located in the NSW Hunter region. Officially opened in June 1992, the facility offers 5,000 square metres of clear span floor space and is capable of catering for crowds of up to 4,500 for sporting events such as basketball and netball.

The Centre has hosted a variety of events including concerts, ice shows, school spectaculars, basketball, netball, tennis, boxing, gymnastics, indoor motocross, exhibitions, conventions and functions. The venue was the home of Newcastle's two former NBL teams - most recently the Hunter Pirates, who exited the league following the 2005/06 season.
