Western Sydney Stadium

The new 30,000-capacity Bankwest Stadium in Western Sydney is currently entering the final stages of construction and is due to open in April 2019. The stadium is being built on the site of the old Parramatta Stadium and is also known by its non-commercial name as Western Sydney Stadium.

The $300 million stadium will boast the steepest stands of any stadium of its type, bringing fans closer to the action than any other. The roof will cover all seats and it’ll feature 3,000 premium seats and 54 corporate suites.

The new stadium will be home to the Parramatta Eels in the NRL and Western Sydney Wanderers in the A-League, playing host to Rugby League, Union and Football. The Wests Tigers and NSW Waratahs are also set to play some games at the venue. It’ll have four change rooms, two large video screens and all the amenities expected of a world-class venue such as extensive Wi-Fi coverage.

Bankwest has secured the initial naming-rights to the new stadium, with the venue to be known as Bankwest Stadium for at least the next seven years.
