The Stadium has a capacity of around 20,000 spectators, which includes 1,000 seated in the grandstand - currently being expanded to seat 3,000. A recent lighting upgrade to over 1500 lux means the venue is now fully lit for TV broadcast. 17 kilometres of strip drainage ensures the playing surface is always at a high standard and is playable in all weather. The Stadium is part of the Coffs Coast and Leisure Park, which includes additional playing fields for larger tournaments.

The Coffs Harbour International Sports Stadium is one of the best facility of its type in regional NSW. In mid-2001, the stadium played host to minor World Cup Qualifiers with the Socceroos playing teams such as Fiji and American Samoa. The stadium holds the official record for the biggest score in a Football International when Australia defeated American Samoa 31-0 with Archie Thompson scoring 13 goals, also a record.

The venue is currently being upgraded with the extension of the grandstand with new seating installed on both sides of the existing stand. The work is expected to be completed in late 2019 and will boost seating to around 3,000 as well as upgraded player, team, media, spectator and corporate facilities.
