Avalon Airport Oval

Avalon Airport Oval at Chirnside Park is the home ground of VFL side Werribee Tigers. A new building replaced the old social club and grandstand which opened in 2018. The new facility includes social, administration and player facilities as well as grandstand seating.

The ground has been the home of the Werribee Tigers since their inception in 1965 and in their first ever VFA game, 10,000 fans turned up to watch the Tigers take on Port Melbourne in 1982.

As well as the main facility on the wing, the ground has terracing around it for fans including a shelter, and a historic wooden grandstand in the forward pocket which dates back to 1923. This heritage-listed grandstand was dismantled during the ground's redevelopment and has been reconstructed on the other side of the ground. The ground also has lights suitable for night matches.
