Flinders University Stadium

Flinders University Stadium

Flinders University Stadium (traditionally known as Noarlunga Oval) is home of SANFL club South Adelaide FC. The ground features a main grandstand with seating for around 1,000 people, pavilion and a large hill surrounding the rest of the ground, which cars can park on to view the game. The first game at the ground still holds the record crowd - 10,123 who attended the match between South Adelaide and Glenelg. One of South Adelaide's most enduring members and co-founder of Hickinbotham Homes was honoured with the re-naming of Noarlunga Oval to Alan Hickinbotham Oval as of 2007. The ground is now known as Flinders University Stadium as part of a five-year naming-rights deal. New lights were installed at the ground in 2011 suitable for night SANFL games.
