Thebarton Oval

Thebarton Oval (officially known as Aldi Arena) has recently been upgraded to include new start-of-the-art lights suitable for evening sporting events.  The oval surface is regarded as one of the best in the Adelaide metropolitan area and the proximity to the city makes the stadium a popular community and corporate venue.  The stadium has a function centre catering for up to 250 people.  Thebarton Oval was recently used for the SANFL season opener between the Eagles and Port under lights on 23 March, 2012 with a crowd of over 4,500 in attendance. The venue is the previous home of the West Torrens Eagles, until they merged with Woodville and moved to Woodville Oval.

Following the redevelopment, Thebarton Oval is now home of the South Australian Amateur Football League as of 2012, playing host to day and night matches.
